This Privacy Policy explains how HaalChaal (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses,
stores, and shares your information when you use the HaalChaal mobile application
and related services (“App”). By using the App, you agree to the practices described
in this Policy.
1) Information We Collect
- Account Information: name, email address, profile photo, app preferences, and confirmation that you are 18 years or older.
- Usage Information: call duration, timestamps, interaction logs, device information, IP address, and diagnostic data.
- User Content: text messages and media shared during use of the App, subject to moderation and applicable laws.
- Location Data (Optional): approximate location based on IP or device settings, if you grant permission.
- Payment Information: limited transaction details such as payment status, amount, date, and reference ID.
- Cookies & Similar Technologies: used to operate, secure, and improve the App experience.
2) Payments & Razorpay
Payments on HaalChaal are processed through trusted third-party payment gateways,
including Razorpay.
- We do not store or process your card details, UPI ID, bank account information, or wallet credentials.
- Payment details are collected and processed directly by Razorpay in accordance with their
Privacy Policy.
- We receive only limited transaction metadata such as payment confirmation, transaction ID,
amount, and status for accounting and support purposes.
- All payments are one-time and used to purchase in-app coins or services. Refunds, if any,
are governed by our Terms & Conditions.
3) Coin-Based Purchases & Non-Refundable Policy
HaalChaal offers in-app virtual coins that can be purchased using one-time payments.
These coins are used exclusively to access digital services such as video calls and
other in-app features.
- All coin purchases are final and non-refundable.
- Coins have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for real money.
- Coins are deducted automatically based on usage (for example, call duration, chat, etc).
- Once coins are credited to your account, they cannot be reversed, transferred,
or refunded, even if unused.
- Payments are processed via third-party gateways such as Razorpay, and we only
receive confirmation of successful transactions.
Refunds will not be provided for partial usage, accidental purchases, dropped calls,
connectivity issues, or user dissatisfaction, except where required by applicable law.
4) How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, and maintain core App features including video calling and messaging.
- Process payments, manage coin balances, and prevent fraudulent transactions.
- Improve performance, safety, and user experience.
- Enforce our Terms & Conditions and community guidelines.
- Detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, and security issues.
- Comply with legal obligations and lawful government requests.
- Communicate with you regarding updates, service messages, and support.
5) Sharing of Information
- Service Providers: cloud hosting, analytics, moderation, notifications, and payment processing (e.g., Razorpay).
- Legal & Safety Requirements: when required to comply with law or protect users and the platform.
- Business Transfers: in case of merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
- Aggregated or Anonymized Data: used for analytics and reporting without identifying individuals.
6) Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the App,
fulfill legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
You may request deletion of your account and data as described below.
7) Your Rights & Choices
- Access, update, or delete your profile information within the App.
- Control app permissions (camera, microphone, notifications, location) through device settings.
- Opt out of promotional communications where applicable.

8) Children’s Privacy
HaalChaal is strictly for users aged 18 years and above.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
If we become aware that a minor has used the App, we will delete the account and associated data.
9) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data,
including encrypted communication where applicable and restricted access.
However, no system is completely secure.
10) International Data Transfers
Your information may be stored or processed in countries other than your own.
We take appropriate measures to ensure adequate data protection in accordance with applicable laws.
11) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
The updated version will be effective when posted.
Continued use of the App indicates acceptance of the revised Policy.
